The chart shows confirmed cases per 1,000 inhabitants. Italy, and Iceland seem to be the countries with most confirmed cases per 1,000 inhabitants. The U.S. also seems quite redder than other countries.

The U.S. marks a steep increase in the number of confirmed cases starting since day#0 of Coronavirus outbreaks. The increase rate of Spain and Italy are also much lower than that of the U.S. South Korea, meanwhile, seems to have quite a good grip in containing Coronavirus.

This is an overview of all countries’ education institutions that have been affected by Coronavirus, updated by UNESCO. Those countries in purple have decided to close down schools at a nationwide level. As of April 16th, 1,575,270,054 learners, that is 91.3% of total enrolled learners, have been affected by Coronavirus.

The UNESCO chart shows that the U.S. has not implemented a nationwide school shutdown, but in reality, most states have already ordered school shutdown in some duration or the other.

Preparing for remote teaching: Case of South Korea

In South Korea, all schools including K-12 to universities are conducting remote teaching. As a result, sales for the devices that support remote teaching skyrocketed.
